Reading and Language Arts   Super Why--Reading activites: rhyming words, stories, and context clues
Starfall-- A great literacy website. Click on Learn to Read to practice short vowels, consonant blends, sight words, and more!
Harcourt Reading Series Online Activities -- Lots of fun and educational activities that go along with the stories students read in class. Choose an activity, then click on Grade 1.
Read, Write, Think: Wordmaker --An interactive rhyming word game. Choose an ending (-op), then find as many words as you can (top, hop, etc.).
Read, Write Think: Picture Match --An interactive game to practice beginning sounds and short vowel sounds.
Clifford's Stories Interactive Storybook -- Read stories about Clifford and Emily Elizabeth, and choose different words to go in the sentences. Play fun games, too!  
Clifford and Friends -- Click on one of the characters and do activities like color, make words, create stories, and more!  
Kids' Lab -- Lots of practice for many skills such as contractions, sight words, and categorizing.  
Between the Lions -- Play games with your favorite characters from the PBS television show.  
Game Goo -- Roll your mouse over a character to see what that game is bout. Blue games are beginners, purple are intermediate, and pink are the most difficult.  
Storyline -- Children's picture books read aloud by actors and actresses. Click on a book you want to read, then click Let's Read It!  
Dr. Seuss -- Visit Seussville to play games, read about Dr. Seuss, or print activities to do at home!  
     
Math K-1 Math -- Lots of math games for many different topics.  
Harcourt Math -- Interactive games and tutorials from the publishers of our math books.  
Rainforest Math -- Math practice for all skills from counting to data and measurement.  
Math Playground -- Fun, interactive games that help you practice your math skills.  
Odd and Even -- Use the arrow keys to move the dragon and find eggs. Click on the egg and decide whether it is odd or even.  
Stop the Clock -- Practice telling time (hour and half hour). Move the digital clock times to the clock showing that time. Click STOP THE CLOCK to see how long it took you.  
AAA Math -- Many math games for all types of math skills. Click on a topic to choose a game. Scroll down to click START and begin.  
Practice Math Facts -- Online math fact sheet. Allows you to choose which operation, number of problems, and length of time to complete.  
What's the Missing Number? -- Fill in the blank with the missing number. Good practice for skip counting by 1's, 2's, 5's, and 10's.  
Fact Family Game -- This takes a while to load, but it is worth it! Practice making fact families with the 3 numbers given.  
Addition Surprise -- Drag the number tile to the column and row of two numbers that add up to that sum.  
Virtual Manipulatives -- Interactive manipulatives for many different math topics.  
King's Math Games -- Lists of games grouped by topic.  
Arithmetic Workshop --word problems and general math practice  
Who Wants to be a Millionaire? - Addition  
Cool Math 4 Kids -- If you're having trouble with math, this web site has fun explanations to help you out!

White House for Kids -- This web site has information and activities for kids AND parents!  
National Geographic Kids -- Explore this site full of interesting stories, games, animals, and activities.  
     
Science Barnyard Palace - Click on the animal names on the photo of the real farm to learn more about each kind of animal - dairy cows, goats,
