Indian Hills Elementary
Indian Hills Elementary hosted Family Fitness Nights for all students in grades 3rd - 6th. The students were asked to bring all family members to participate in the event. Family Fitness Night included games, such as bowling, Nintendo Wii Fitness, Cup stacking, and Basketball Knockout. Also, at the Fitness Night there was Nutritional Information available for the families as well as healthy snacks for them to enjoy throughout the night. All students who participated in the event were placed in a drawing for prizes that included items such as basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, tennis racquets, Wii Fitness games, jump ropes, and other similar items. Family Fitness Night was funded by the Team Nutrition grant received by Indian Hills Elementary. The event was very successful and the school is planning to continue to provide similar events for their students.
